The 4th Polish Championships in Gods of War: Togo will be starting very soon! We are absolutely delighted with the fantastic turnout, which continues to grow significantly every year. Just like the 3rd Championships, this year’s tournament will take place at the Ursuline Sisters’ Secondary School of the Roman Union in Wrocław, right in the city centre. Instead of the assembly hall (which simply would not be large enough for so many participants), the tournament will be held in the school sports hall.
Please enter through the main entrance (see photo), report to the reception desk, then continue inside and turn left after a few metres (there will be a sign).
With that in mind, we have prepared some practical and organisational information which is worth reading — and the important information at the end must be read.
TRANSPORT AND PARKING
The school is located at plac Nankiera 16 in Wrocław. It is very easy to reach by public transport. The nearest stops are:
Hala Targowa – trams 8, 9, 11, 17 and 23.
Ossolineum (Uniwersytecka) – trams 6 and 7 (only those approaching from the south).
Uniwersytet Wrocławski – trams 6 and 7 (only those approaching from the north).
You can also get off at plac Bema, which is additionally served by tram 19. From there it is about a 10-minute walk. Another option is Galeria Dominikańska, which is around a 10–15-minute walk away, or you can change there to one of the trams heading towards Hala Targowa.
Tickets can be bought on trams and buses — payment is by card only. You do not receive a paper ticket; confirmation of the transaction serves as your ticket. Ticket machines are available on every vehicle. Tickets can also be purchased through certain apps, such as jakdojade.pl, etc.
You can, of course, also come by car, but there is no dedicated car park and the entire surrounding area is covered by paid parking zones. A map of the paid parking zones can be found here:
https://spp.zdium.wroc.pl/index.php/mapa/
The most important thing to pay attention to is the boundary of Zone B, as parking charges apply there seven days a week (the same applies to Zone A). Outside Zones A and B, parking is free from 6.00 pm on Friday.
To the north, Zone B — where parking charges apply seven days a week — extends as far as Sienkiewicza Street and then follows the bank of the River Oder. This means that streets further north are free of charge at weekends. These include Wojciecha Cybulskiego, Świętokrzyska and Na Szańcach. Please note, however, that these streets are within the third paid parking zone. Parking is free there at weekends, but charges apply on weekdays from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. More information can be found here:
https://www.wroclaw.pl/komunikacja/strefa-platnego-parkowania
You can also park behind Bolter, at Podwale 6. From there, you can either take a tram or walk for approximately 30 minutes.
The best option, however, is probably to park somewhere convenient near your accommodation and then travel to the school by public transport or on foot (particularly if you are staying in the Old Town).
There is also a large multi-storey car park at Galeria Dominikańska, although unfortunately it is not free. On Saturday it is open from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm, and on Sunday from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.

ENTRY
All participants will be included on an attendance list. Each of you will receive a special Polish Championships badge with a clip. It is very important that you keep it with you, especially if you want to leave the building and come back in later — entry will only be permitted to people on the list (the school has a reception desk).
If anyone would like to bring a guest, please let us know by Monday, 12 October.
FOOD AND SATURDAY EVENING
During the Championships, a coffee machine (and coffee!) will be available, along with milk, a kettle, tea, sugar, stirrers, cups, etc.
We will also have various biscuits and other snacks, all of which will be available in a designated refreshment area. Once you have finished, please dispose of cups, plates, napkins, etc. in the rubbish bags provided there.
There are toilets close to the sports hall, in the corridor next to the reception desk.
On Saturday, from 3.15 pm to 4.00 pm, there will be a special lunch break between the second and third battles.
The quickest bar/restaurant in terms of service is Lepione, at Kuźnicza 43, about 250 metres from the school. Food is sold by weight, so service is usually very quick.
At Hala Targowa (Market Hall), also around 250 metres from the school, there are two bars where you can get a filling meal at a good price (they are shown in the photos). There is also an excellent café inside the Market Hall.

On Kuźnicza Street you will also find the legendary Miś milk bar. It is very inexpensive, although there can sometimes be a queue. On Saturday it is open until 5.00 pm.
On Saturday evening, at 7.00 pm, we warmly invite everyone to join us for our traditional get-together. It has become something of a tradition for our wonderful community to celebrate together and simply enjoy spending time in each other’s company.
Please add your name to the form so that we know how many people will be joining us on Saturday evening. The link is here:

IMPORTANT!!!
The Championships are being held on the premises of a school and convent, so bringing in or consuming any alcohol or other prohibited substances is strictly forbidden. Smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes, etc. is also prohibited both inside the building and immediately outside it.
We ask everyone to behave responsibly — and we know that, with such a wonderful group of admirals, we can count on you!
Indoor footwear is compulsory in the sports hall where the games will be played. Your indoor footwear must not have been worn outside. These can be ordinary shoes, slippers, Crocs, etc.
There are benches outside the sports hall where you can change your shoes and safely leave your outdoor footwear. This will help us keep the sports hall floor in good condition — and hopefully mean that we will be able to return to this wonderful school again next year.
If anything happens at your gaming table — for example, if coffee, juice or water is spilt, or if anything else happens — please let us know immediately so that we can clean it up, wipe the area down, etc.
On Sunday, we ask players who have finished their final battle to help move their tabletop into the corridor. There will be more than 20 of them, so your help will be invaluable.
If anything happens at your table, please let us know immediately (for example, if water is spilt).
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Full steam ahead!
The Bolter.pl & GM Boardgames Team
