PREMIERE OF THE NAPOLEON III EXPANSION!

PREMIERE OF THE NEW EXPANSION!

We are delighted to present the expansion for Gods of War: Robert E. LeeNapoleon III! ⚔️🇫🇷

This long-awaited supplement (announced back during the Kickstarter campaign) introduces all the rules and units of the French army from the years 1854–1859, covering the Crimean War and the Second Italian War of Independence. It features chapters providing a historical overview of this army, discussing the evolution of French infantry, cavalry, and artillery, general and detailed rules (including available units and their special abilities) for both French forces introduced in this supplement – the Army of the Orient, which fought in the Crimean War, and the Army in Italy, which took part in the 1859 campaign in northern Italy.

You’ll also find cavalry tactics and – most importantly – a few new rules for the main game itself! This includes the “Independent Division Commander” trait, as well as rules for mountain artillery and heavy artillery. In total, the supplement offers 26 pages, designed in the same visual style as the main rulebook, richly illustrated with photos of miniatures and 19th-century paintings.

And to top it off – tales from the grognards themselves, offering plenty of fascinating insights into this era. A true treat we hope you’ve been waiting for! 🍷📜

Until now, the rules for the French army were available only in a basic form online and in the army builder. Now, you’ll be able to enjoy them in full!

The rules in this expansion are already fully compatible with the upcoming errata v2.2, which is currently in development (and expected before Fields of Glory). 🛠️

We still owe you one more book from the Kickstarter – the historical scenarios for the American Civil War on the Eastern Theatre (1861–1863), from Bull Run to Gettysburg. We’ll begin work on it right after we finish the Gods of War: Grant expansion, which introduces the western armies.

That’s all for Gods of War: Lee news today. We hope you’ll enjoy this expansion.

Vive l’Empereur! 🇫🇷

📢 There is one more very important announcement.
Since Napoleon III was a significantly delayed supplement, we have decided to make it available for FREE 🆓 download to anyone interested.
