\ud83c\udf0c No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man’s and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.
\ud83c\udf0d Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us. And early in the twentieth century came the great disillusionment.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re thrilled to introduce our Christmas and year-end special release<\/strong>: **two models inspired by H.G. Wells\u2019 famous novel „The War of the Worlds”<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first is the iconic Martian Tripod<\/strong>, moving on three legs, firing Heat-Rays, and emitting toxic black smoke.
The second is the equally legendary armoured torpedo ram HMS Thunder Child<\/strong>, the first ship to engage the Martian invaders and destroy three „Tripods” in the process…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events of Wells\u2019 novel take place in 1898, during the VI era of Gods of War: Togo<\/em>.
So, we thought adding these models could bring a fun twist to casual games<\/strong>.
It\u2019s worth noting that, while Martians appear in the fleet creator, they are NOT tournament legal<\/strong>. They are meant purely for fun, friendly games (this applies to all models designated as SPE \u2013 special).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players can use them to create fictional scenarios at home, like Tripods clashing against the Japanese or Spanish fleets!
Isn\u2019t that a fantastic opportunity for those who enjoy such imaginative settings? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mentioned \u2013 Martians are just a special addition for enthusiasts<\/strong> \ud83d\ude42
The same applies to the HMS Thunder Child model \u2013 it\u2019s not for historical play but for battles during a Martian invasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
